From humble beginnings in 1967, JIMS® has grown into one of the industry leaders producing performance parts, accessories, tools, transmissions, and high-performance engines, all aimed at enhancing the Harley rider's experience.
Initially, Jim Thiessen worked as a machinist in the aerospace industry. As bikes were brought to the shop in the early days for repairs and mechanical problems, customers would come to Jim looking for hard to find parts or higher quality American made components. In the mid to late '70s, Jim committed 100% to V-Twin Motorcycles.
Developing parts and processes is his expertise, so naturally, he developed a reputation for precision machining in the motorcycle industry. JIMS now occupies several buildings totalling 50,000 square feet filled with CNC machines, starting with just a few manual mills and lathes.
Jims Machine employs skilled artisans running a fantastic collection of high-tech machines such as CNC machining centres, lathes and inspection equipment, state of the art design and engineering capabilities, prototype department, and testing facilities to ensure quality the number one priority.
Our development team is a diverse, experienced, lean team that includes expert machinists capable of CNC and manual machining and programmers, engineers, mechanics, project managers, and research specialists working together with precision instruments.
